Scientists Discover That This Everyday Beverage May Extend Your Life!

It’s been discovered by researchers based in New York City, conducted a study that may have just revealed that drinking this particular beverage may extend your life and improve your cardiovascular health. This beverage? Orange juice. Specifically 100% orange juice with no added sugars.
These researchers conducted this study with 20 healthy adults aged between 21 to 36 years old. Three days before the study begun, the participants were directly instructed to reduce and restrict their citrus consumption as much as possible. Participants were then instructed to consumed roughly half a litre of orange juice a day. The study revealed changes in more than 1,700 genes within these participants and revealed that drinking 100% orange juice contributed to an overall better cardiovascular health, body composition, and extension of life.

The largest variable they discovered was body weight. Those who were considered overweight saw better fat metabolism whilst those on the opposite end of the weight spectrum displayed strong anti-inflammatory effects. But you shouldn’t start gulping the stuff down like it’s the fountain of youth. The very same researchers emphasised that the sugar content of can raise serious risks for diabetics if they drink it in excess, as well as causing an influx of calories and high blood sugar.
