New low-cost iPhone 17 model now rumored to get two design changes

Rumors about Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17e keep coming, with the latest indicating the low-cost model will pack not one, but two changes to its design: a Dynamic Island and thinner bezels.
iPhone 17e getting Dynamic Island and thinner bezels
Yesterday I published an overview of the latest expectations for the iPhone 17e.
One standout design change that’s rumored is a Dynamic Island. The iPhone 16e still has the classic notch design.
But according to a new report from The Elec, there’s a second noticeable design update coming for the front of the device.
iPhone 17e will reportedly have thinner bezels than its predecessor.
Slimmed bezels, combined with the Dynamic Island, should lead the iPhone 17e to fit in nicely among the most modern iPhone models.
Last year’s iPhone 16e packed a lot of modern technology, but its design was noticeably dated compared to other iPhone 16 models. But it seems Apple plans to make iPhone 17e blend even better with the rest of the iPhone 17 family.
One other notable detail from The Elec’s report is that ProMotion support is not expected for the iPhone 17e. This isn’t a surprise, but it’s worth noting that ProMotion will be a key differentiator between iPhone 17e and iPhone 17.
