Robert “Brad” Bradley Wentz

Robert Bradley Wentz “Brad”, 71, of Ontario, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, at Wexner Medical Center with his family by his side.
Born on October 23, 1954, in Ontario, Brad was the son of the late Robert and Marge Wentz. He graduated from Ontario High School and briefly attended Ohio State, Mansfield, before embarking on a 42-year career at Pittsburgh Plate Glass. Brad, known to his colleagues as Bob, was known for his kindness, dedication, and integrity. When he wasn’t at work, he loved spending his free time vacationing with Sandi, rebuilding his 1974 Stingray Corvette, and in the earlier years, doing things with Chris & Mandy that Sandi may not have entirely approved of—like taking Chris to Alice Cooper concerts or letting Mandy drive through Columbus rush hour, after shopping trips, with only a learner’s permit.
Life offered Brad a second chapter after losing Sandi—a chapter filled with healing, new beginnings, and the gift of finding love again. Two special friends, Maggie and J. Barnett, played cupid and brought Brad and Pam together. It was a match made in heaven. Both of them must have had adventurous souls because they loved to travel. Whether it was day trips in Ohio or a month-long journey on the West Coast, they made the most of their time together. Their last adventure was a land/cruise tour in Alaska and the Yukon. During that trip, they hired a pilot to fly them to view bears at Lake Clark National Park. In their free time they took great joy attending their grandchildren’s sporting events, bird watching, and feeding deer and wild turkeys. During the winter months, they spent time in Bradenton, Florida.
Brad was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandi Wentz, and his granddaughter, Hannah Glauer.
He is survived by his loving fiancée, Pam Lewis; his children, Chris Wentz and Amanda Leclerc (Lynda); his grandchildren, Colton Foley (Lexi), Dylan and Elaina Glauer; his two great-grandchildren, Niko and Rocco Foley; his brother, Greg Wentz (Shirley); and his sister, Jodi St Jean (Mike). He also leaves behind a host of cherished friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
Calling hours will be held at Wappner Funeral Directors and Crematory-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road on December 10, 2025, from 4pm-7pm. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Brad’s life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association in Brad’s honor.
