Lane Reductions on Fairview Avenue Due to REM Construction from December 3 to 5

The City of Pointe-Claire has announced that construction work related to the Réseau express métropolitain (REM) will lead to lane reductions on Fairview Avenue from December 3 to 5. Motorists can expect traffic disruptions, as each direction of Fairview Avenue will be narrowed to a single lane in proximity to the westbound service road of Highway Félix-Leclerc (A-40).
The specific area affected is located between the westbound Highway Félix-Leclerc service road and the entrance to the CF Fairview Pointe-Claire mall parking lot, which is accessible behind the Rona hardware store. Given that this notice comes during a particularly busy holiday season, local authorities are urging all road users to exercise caution and reduce their speeds to ensure the safety of construction workers on-site.
The city expresses gratitude for the public’s understanding and cooperation as the construction progresses.
