Biggie Estate Manager Denies Diddy Used Rapper’s Money to…

Wayne Barrow, who worked alongside the Notorious B.I.G.’s mother Voletta Wallace in managing the late rapper’s estate, has denied allegations that Diddy used Biggie’s money to pay for his own funeral.

Loren Lorosa of The Breakfast Club said she spoke to Barrow to get him to comment on several allegations made in the 50 Cent-produced Netflix documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning. Chief among the allegations made in the documentary is that Diddy used Biggie’s money to pay for his own funeral in 1997, as Kirk Burrowes claimed. Barrow, who officiated the funeral and helped plan it with Burrowes, said that’s not true.

Barrow told Lorosa that Diddy and Bad Boy Records paid for the funeral entirely, and royalty statements sent to Biggie’s estate did not include any funeral costs. He added that he reviewed every royalty statement personally, alongside Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace, up until her death earlier this year at age 72. He also said that there was no beef or dispute over contracts at the time of the rapper’s death.

As for the allegation that Diddy blocked Biggie from getting a Rolling Stone story after his death, he said that he can’t speak much about that. However, he did tell Lorosa that Biggie’s estate was not presented with a potential cover story from Rolling Stone, at least that he’s aware of.

Diddy’s representatives have called the documentary a “hit piece” against the disgraced rapper and music executive, who is currently serving 50 months behind bars on two prostitution charges. The documentary features interviews with jurors in Diddy’s trial, former members of Danity Kane, and multiple sex workers who alleged they were hired by him.
