Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua fight week schedule revealed, new fight added to card

The countdown to Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua is on, and the fight week schedule — along with the fight card itself — has been finalized.

Promotional officials confirmed to MMA Fighting that a super featherweight matchup between U.S. Olympian Jahmal Harvey and the 5-0 Kevin Cervantes is the latest addition to the Jake vs. Joshua card that takes place Dec. 19 at Kaseya Center in Miami, with the main card streaming exclusively on Netflix.

Additionally, the Jake vs. Joshua fight week activities have been revealed for fans that are planning to attend the event in Miami.

On Tuesday, Dec. 16, Most Valuable Promotions presents MVP Fight Week Showcase 2, which takes place at LIV at Fontainebleau Miami Beach. The event features open workouts for fighters competing on the Jake vs. Joshua fight card, along with a sanctioned fight card headlined by Luan Medeiros vs. Hugo Macias in a lightweight contest. The MVP Fight Week Showcase 2 event kicks off at 6 p.m. ET and streams on the MVP and Netflix Sports YouTube channels.

The following day features the final Jake vs. Joshua press conference at The Fillmore Miami Beach starting at 6 p.m. ET. The presser — which streams on the MVP and Netflix Sports YouTube channels — features headliners Paul and Joshua, co-main eventers Alycia Baumgardner and Leila Beaudoin, former UFC champs Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley ahead of their matchup, and other fighters competing on the card.

On Thursday, Dec. 18, the Jake vs. Joshua ceremonial weigh-ins begin at 6 p.m. ET at The Fillmore Miami Beach. Paul and Joshua go face-to-face one last time before they make the walk to the ring for their heavyweight matchup on fight night.

“Jake vs. Joshua fight week builds up to one of the biggest events in boxing this year, with fight week events hosted at the iconic LIV Nightclub, and The Fillmore in Miami Beach, all free and open to the public,” MVP CEO and co-founder Nakisa Bidarian said.

“The week will begin with the return of our signature series of sanctioned, professional fights within our open workouts event, MVP Fight Week Showcase 2, spotlighting four MVP fighters: our newest signings Luan Almeida and US prospect Jocelyn Camarillo, joined by former world champion Shannon Courtenay. The week continues with a massive press conference and our public weigh-in, each bringing together the entire fight card. We also look forward to formally introducing the global Netflix audience to US Olympian Jahmal Harvey, who will open the main card of Jake vs. Joshua, and who we believe is the most promising male boxing prospect to come out of Team USA this decade.”

The Jake vs. Joshua preliminary card kicks off on Dec. 19 at 4:45 p.m. on the MVP YouTube channel, as well as Netflix’s Tudum. The main card kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on Netflix.
