Who Is Dijon, SNL’s December 6 Musical Guest? He Was in One of 2025’s Buzziest Movies

How to Watch
Watch Saturday Night Live Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c on NBC and next day on Peacock.
One of 2025’s buzziest artists is headed to Saturday Night Live on December 6 to make their Musical Guest debut. Even if you don’t know this singer and Grammy-nominated producer’s name, you’ve likely heard his work, thanks to the likes of Justin Bieber and Charli xcx.
Dijon released his second studio album, Baby, in August 2025 to rave reviews. Baby is a rich sonic landscape, boasting songs that Pitchfork described as sounding like “many rooms all at once. From one instant to the next, you find yourself in a completely different soundworld, a gentle sunlit environment giving way to a space painted entirely black and lit by piercing artificial lights”. Baby is already topping best album lists for 2025: Vulture named it No. 1, while Pitchfork ranked it at No. 2.

Baby is Dijon’s first personal project since he and wife Joanie Del Santo welcomed their son, the titular baby. Much of the album feels like he’s just bursting to tell you how great his wife is and how happy his son makes him, but he’s keeping his cool. It’s a delightful exploration of fatherhood, and a sweet, sexy tribute to married life, and just great vibes all around.
His first album, Absolutely, released in 2021, was also a critical success, with the song “Many Times” even appearing on Barack Obama’s summer playlist.
As Dijon takes a break from his world tour to perform in Studio 8H, get to know the rising star below.

Dijon appeared in One Battle After Another alongside another SNL Musical Guest
Paul Thomas Anderson’s epic movie One Battle After Another featured appearances by five music artists as members of the fictional revolutionary group French 75: Dijon, Alana Haim, Junglepussy, Paul Grimstad, and Teyana Taylor.
In his acting debut, joins Leonardo DiCaprio’s character as they watch Perfidia (Taylor) tear up a shooting range, and he helps DiCaprio’s character out in a humorous scene later in the film.
Alana Haim performed as an SNL Musical Guest with her band Haim in 2013 and 2017, and Alana has become a frequent collaborator of Anderson, whose partner is SNL alum Maya Rudolph. Taylor was also a featured performer in Season 44’s premiere episode, rapping and singing on “We Got Love” with Musical Guest Kanye West.
And the SNL connections don’t stop there, as One Battle also features former SNL writer Jim Downey.
Dijon is nominated for two 2025 Grammy Awards
Dijon nabbed his first Grammy nods for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical for all of his 2025 projects, and Album of the Year for his work on Bieber’s Swag.
