“It’s disrespectful”: Biggie’s estate manager responds to claims made in new Diddy documentary

The documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning is currently airing on Netflix: exploring the musician and record label owner’s career ascent, followed by the federal investigation that led to his 2024 arrest and subsequent trial.
The four-part documentary delves into other controversies throughout P Diddy’s life, as well as commenting on his alleged behaviour throughout the years.
In the series, Bad Boy Records co-founder Kirk Burrowes alleges that Diddy planned a large funeral for Wallace following his death aged 24. However, once the cost of the proceedings became clear, he moved to bill the rapper’s estate for the funeral.
Now, a representative of the estate of the late rapper Notorious B.I.G. (real name: Christopher Wallace) has seemingly come forward to refute claims made in the documentary, specifically that Diddy sought reimbursement after organising Wallace’s funeral.
On 4 December, Loren Lorosa read a statement on the radio show The Breakfast Club reportedly provided by Wayne Barrow, who co-managed Wallace’s estate with his mother Voletta Wallace.
Barrow denied allegations that the Wallace estate paid for the funeral, stating that, to his knowledge, Diddy and Bad Boy Records paid for the arrangements in full. He also claimed to have reviewed royalty statements personally and found no evidence of funeral costs.
Barrow also added that the allegations could be seen as disrespectful to Biggie’s inner circle: “It’s disrespectful that anyone would even imply that Biggie’s mom and close friends would even be that naive to allow something like that to happen and not catch it.”
