Heathrow Airport in Police Locks Down Amid Critical Incident

Heathrow Tunnel Locks Down Amid Police Incident
The Heathrow Tunnel and surrounding areas in Hounslow have been locked down this morning due to an ongoing police incident. Authorities have shut down both Heathrow tunnels, and the airport is currently closed. Transport lines, including London Underground and Elizabeth Line services, are suspended.
Bus Services Disrupted – Drivers Trapped
Bus routes 105, 111, 278, 285, SL9, A10, SL7, and U3 are severely affected. Bus drivers caught inside the bus station have been told not to leave their vehicles under any circumstances.
Route Changes and Terminations
- Routes 105, 111, 278, and 285 heading towards Heathrow Central will now terminate at Bus Stand BP2066 (New Road, opposite McDonald’s).
- Buses must use the bus cage and bus lane efficiently, minimising waiting times.
- For routes heading to Greenford, Kingston, Ruislip, and Harrow, buses are rerouted from Bus Stand BP2066 via Bath Road, Nettleton Road Bus Gate, and Nene Road before rejoining their usual routes.
The situation remains fluid. Stay tuned for further updates as officers manage the incident. We have reached out to the Met Police and the London Ambulance Service
