Daizen Maeda’s goal was the difference for Celtic as they claimed a 1-0 win against Dundee in the Scottish Premiership.

Wilfried Nancy was announced as the new Celtic boss prior to kick-off and Martin O’Neill’s final match in caretaker charge ended in victory thanks to Maeda’s 11th-minute header.

Victory for the Hoops means they move level on points with Hearts, who stay top of the table on goal difference after drawing 1-1 with Kilmarnock at Tynecastle.

Lawrence Shankland fired the hosts in front, but Bruce Anderson’s 90th-minute equaliser ensured Hearts made it four games without a victory.

Nedim Bajrami’s stoppage-time penalty rescued Rangers a point in a 2-2 draw against Dundee United.

Zac Sapsford had put the hosts ahead at Tannadice, but Jayden Meghoma levelled with his first Rangers goal since joining on-loan from Brentford.

Amar Fatah fired United back in front and following a foul on Max Aarons in the area, Rangers were awarded a penalty which Bajrami fired home in the eighth minute of time added on.

Richard King also struck late for St Mirren to snatch a 3-3 draw against Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

After a goalless first half, the game sparked into life when Marcus Fraser had a penalty cancelled out by Dante Polvara and Marko Lazetic put the Dons in front for the first time in the game.

Jonah Ayunga levelled for St Mirren in the 82nd minute and Lazetic restored Aberdeen’s lead just three minutes later, but King had the final say with a header in the ninth minute of stoppage time.

Elsewhere, Falkirk and Motherwell remain in the top six after their game ended goalless.
