This year’s Big Game turned into the Big Shakeup.

When Stanford stunned Cal in a 31-10 upset just 10 days ago, Ron Rivera, wasted no time making a change. The Bears’ general manager fired ninth-year head coach Justin Wilcox and immediately began the search for his successor.

Meanwhile, Stanford general manager Andrew Luck spent last week finalizing a deal with former Cardinal quarterback and Washington Commanders QB coach Tavita Pritchard to return to Palo Alto as the program’s next head coach.

Both programs are ushering in new eras in an effort to compete atop the ACC and become nationally relevant. On this episode of Section 415, reporter Jane Kenny shares insights about the future of Cal and Stanford’s programs based on conversations with Rivera and Luck, and all of the developments that have taken place in the aftermath of this year’s Big Game.
