The failure to personally hand Brittany Higgins a bankruptcy notice and instead deliver it to a proxy has held up former defence minister Linda Reynolds’ legal bid to recoup more than $1.3 million from her former staffer.
Reynolds had launched Federal Court action to have a trustee appointed to Higgins’ financial affairs, including the protective trust established to safeguard Higgins’ $2.4 million compensation payout from the Commonwealth, her former employer.
