LA do-gooder claims he collected 100K pounds of trash from streets — blames city for slow collection: ‘Just do your job’

What a load of rubbish!

A man who quit his job to clean needles, human feces and other trash from Los Angeles streets claims he’s collected about 100,000 pounds of garbage — but he’s accusing the city of letting the steamy piles languish for way too long.

“Why do I have to chase them, when I already put it in the bags?” Juan Naula fumed to The Post.

Naula, 47, started his street cleanup campaign a little over 10 months ago, but says he’s having issues with collection from the city — claiming it sometimes takes weeks for crews to pick up the garbage after he calls 311.

“One time it was three weeks, its frustrating because the homeless get into the bags,” Juan explained.

“What did they have in their mind? Its not ok. Nobody deserves to live like this. Just do your job.”

The collections, which sometimes include needles, knives and human feces, can pose a danger to the public if left behind for too long.

Naula moved to LA from Virginia to seek financing for his tech start up, but when he saw MacArthur Park one day, he said he decided to start cleaning instead.

A spokesperson for Mayor Karen Bass said LA “will be reviewing 311 requests to ensure City services are being delivered,” in a statement to Fox 11.

“Residents like Juan represent the very best of Los Angeles — people who step up to care for their neighborhoods and our city. We thank Juan for taking initiative and helping create a City we can all be proud of. The Mayor’s Office will be reaching out to him,” the spokesperson said.

After Naula posted his work on social media, the public has taken notice.

He has 60,000 followers on Instagram and claims to have hundreds of volunteers helping his cause.

Next up, he’s looking to go for a new record.

“I’m going to try to get a Guinness record next year. 300 bags in a month.”
