Matt Rife is taking Netflix by storm with his latest holiday special, Unwrapped: A Christmas Crowd Work Special. It’s his third stand-up special on the streamer and has been sitting pretty in Netflix’s Top 10 following its December 2 release.

Rife is currently in a relationship with Mariah Morse. The two were first linked in March 2025, when a video showed them holding hands as they walked into a Rhode Island club together.
TMZ confirmed the romance on March 31, noting that it was unclear when the relationship began. The couple went Instagram official on Morse’s page in May, followed by a hard launch on Rife’s Instagram in June.
With their relationship social media official, Morse began supporting Rife at public appearances, including several stops on his 2025 comedy tour.

How did Matt Rife and Kate Beckinsale meet?
Despite a 22-year age difference, Rife briefly dated Kate Beckinsale in 2017 after meeting through a mutual friend. At the time of their relationship, she was 43, and he was 21.
The two dated for less than a year. In September 2018, they were photographed leaving a comedy show together after the breakup, but it appeared to be simply friendly.
When Beckinsale was romantically linked to Pete Davidson in 2019, Rife controversially told the comedian to “run,” adding in an interview with TMZ, “Enjoy it while you can. I hope they’re both happy. I hope that it can build to where it’s an established, good relationship. I wish them both the best. I hope they’re happy. I don’t really have any solid advice, just be careful.”
However, in 2023, he apologized for the comments. “I regret saying that,” he said in a video interview with Elle. “Pete, if you’re out there, sorry I said that. Kate, I also apologize that I said that. I shouldn’t have said that.” He also admitted he was being a “petty a**hole” when he made the comment.
In January 2025, Beckinsale and Rife were spotted at a Golden Globes party together, but Beckinsale’s rep shut down reports that they were rekindling their romance. “It is incorrect that they were kissing,” the rep said. “They are friendly exes who were having a fun time speaking.”

Prior to striking up a romance with Morse, Rife was in a relationship with Jessica Lord for nine months in 2023 and 2024. The comedian met the British actress/dancer while he was on tour in Mississippi. She had a boyfriend at the time, but he was grounded in the Midwest amid tornado warnings, so they spent some time together.
Once Rife returned home, Lord declined his invitation to attend one of his comedy shows, and they didn’t speak again until about a year later, when she ended her other relationship. Rife and Lord split in March 2024, and it was “amicable,” according to TMZ.
