Former ANZ chief executive Shayne Elliott will pursue his former employer after it stripped him of millions of dollars in bonuses last month, citing failures across its retail and institutional banking division.
Elliott said he and ANZ had a “clear, unambiguous” agreement about the terms of his departure which he claimed had been breached when the board, led by Paul O’Sullivan, decided to cancel his bonus.
