The injury list appears to have its latest addition.
Liverpool are currently facing Brighton at Anfield and have started brightly.
Hugo Ekitike scored his third goal in his last two Premier League games after he opened the scoring just 46 seconds into the match.
The team have dominated the early proceedings, and the goal was expertly set up by Joe Gomez.
The English defender was a highlight of Liverpool’s early dominance, but with just over twenty minutes gone, he sat down inside the centre circle, off the ball, unable to continue.
A glaringly obvious sign that the defender has suffered an injury.
With Conor Bradley out suspended, and Jeremie Frimpong sidelined with injury, Arne Slot called upon Mohamed Salah to replace Joe Gomez.
Another devastating blow for Joe Gomez, whose Liverpool career has told a similar tale throughout.
Unable to get a consistent run of games under his belt, his body just is not up to it as he heads for the treatment room once again.
More to follow on the severity of the injury and what Arne Slot has to say about it post-match…
