Gruesome photos are emerging of Cameron Menzies’ hand after the darts player repeatedly punched a drinks stand at Alexandra Palace. The world number twenty-six lashed out in frustration after losing his PDC World Championship first-round match to Charlie Manby.
Manby looked on from a distance as his opponent threw three uppercuts at the Paddy Power-branded drinks table up on stage. One image shows Menzies grabbing at his hand in pain.
Close-ups of the injury show blood pouring down the Scotsman’s middle finger from a cut on the knuckles of his right hand. He was inspecting the injured area as he walked off stage for treatment.

Sky Sports commentators described the incident as Menzies “beating the living day lights out of the water table.” The former darts player Mark Webster remarked: “He’ll probably regret that for the rest of his life.”
Before exiting, he held his hands up in apology to the crowd. However, that did not stop him from being booed by some of those inside Ally Pally on Monday afternoon.
