Why Casemiro is now suspended for Man Utd vs Aston Villa in new blow for Ruben Amorim

Manchester United have an additional blow to deal with against Aston Villa this coming weekend.
Aston Villa are in unbelievable form right now with nine wins in a row, and Manchester United are playing them at the wrong time.
The upcoming fixture falls on a date where Bryan Mbeumo, Amad and Noussair Mazraoui are all set to miss the game due to the African Cup of Nations.
And now there is one additional absentee, with Casemiro also set to miss the match due to suspension.

Casemiro’s gamble backfired
Casemiro tried to ‘take one for the team’ when he fouled Marcus Tavernier early in the second half, in Manchester United’s 4-4 draw with Bournemouth.
Tavernier was driving at goal and was about to shoot, and Casemiro sacrificed himself to try and deny a goalscoring chance.
Casemiro was booked for the tackle, accumulating his fifth yellow card of the season, earning a one-match suspension.
And to add insult to injury, Bournemouth scored from the resulting free-kick to go 3-2 up, making Casemiro’s booking all for nothing.

Mainoo or Ugarte decision awaits
Ruben Amorim now has to work out how to replace Casemiro, in addition to a squad selection dilemma over the AFCON stars.
Amorim has a straight choice here between Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo.
Mainoo came off the bench against Bournemouth, but Ugarte might get the nod if Amorim believes he is better suited for the fixture at Villa.
Either way, United will miss Casemiro. The fixture at Villa was already going to be tough. Now it has become a lot tougher.
