The Emirates NBA Cup Championship takes place tonight at a neutral site in T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, tipping off at 8:30 PM EST. The Spurs will take on the Knicks to conclude what has been a dramatic tournament featuring an upset in the semi finals as Victor Wembanyama returned to help knock out the Thunder, who most would consider to be heavy favorites for both the NBA Cup as well as the championship at the end of the season.

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Jalen Brunson Less than 30.5 Points
The King of New York is not one to shy away from big games, but he’ll have a tough task in front of him tonight dealing with the league’s premier defender in Victor Wembanyama. Wemby won’t be directly tasked with guarding Brunson, but his help defense, paint presence, and inhuman reach will make life hard on Brunson.
Brunson’s a crafty player who relies on his outside threat as well as his shifty middy game to keep defenders on his side or back as he forces contact barreling to the hoop or shooting turnarounds. But he’ll have trouble shooting over Wembanyama, whose reach eclipses traditional centers. Furthermore, the Spurs have the 14th ranked defense in the league in 25 games, with only 13 of those featuring Wembanyama.
Victor Wembanyama Less Than 9.5 Rebounds
The Knicks are doing an excellent job of controlling the glass this season, as they trail only Charlotte, Houston, Denver, and the Lakers when it comes to opponent rebounds per game. I’m expecting Wemby to fall short of his 9.5 mark tonight, especially since he just returned from injury and played only 21 minutes in his first game back against the Thunder.
If Wemby faces similar minutes restrictions tonight, which seems probable, it seems prudent to not expect the Frenchman to meet this rebounding number.
Jalen Brunson More Than 6.5 Assists
Brunson’s averaging 6.4 APG this season, almost a full assist under his last season’s 7.4 APG average, which was a career-high. I’m anticipating his scoring to be limited today in tonight’s contest against a tough defensive team, and Brunson will have to frequently pass out of double teams and defensive pressure around the rim and mid stakes where he likes to thrive.
The Spurs are below-average in limiting opponents’ assists per game, coming in at 19th in the league and allowing an average of 27 APG to opponents.

Enter an Amount
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
Sweat Your Picks
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Compete for Prizes
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
