The Adelaide Strikers have named a 13-player squad for their BBL|15 season opener against the Sydney Sixers.
Matt Short will lead the Strikers this season, looking to replicate his excellent form from the last few seasons. He enters his eighth season with the team.
Overseas quicks Hassan Ali, Jamie Overton, and Luke Wood bolster the pace attack. Overton returns for his third year with the Strikers, while Wood and Ali are set to make their debuts.
New signings Mackenzie Harvey and Jason Sangha boost the batting ranks, and Jerrssis Wadia joins from the academy programme.
Chris Lynn, Harry Nielsen, Alex Ross and Liam Scott add strength to the batting, while Henry Thornton and Lloyd Pope provide key weapons with the ball.
Tim Paine’s team kick off their season on December 17 at the SCG before their first home game of the competition on December 23.
