Jake Paul’s bizarre weigh-in moment after hitting scales 12kg lighter than Anthony Joshua

Jake Paul has delivered one more bizarre moment before his fight against former world champion Anthony Joshua at the official weigh-in.

The controversial YouTube star-turned-boxer has taken his brave endeavour to new heights ahead of the bout on Saturday (AEDT), stepping up in not only class against one of the world’s biggest stars, but also in size and weight.

Paul stands 13cm shorter than the English juggernaut and the discrepancy has been on full-display during media events and open workouts leading into the bout.

The size difference was solidified at the weigh-in when both men hit the scales.

Paul weighed in at 98.2kg (216.6lbs) compared to his opponent Joshua, who weighed in at 110.4kg (243.4lbs) for the clash in Miami, Florida.

As he stood on the scales, Paul then gave a wild address to Joshua – seemingly in the same tone and cadence of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan.

“When the ring bells, I’m coming in there and I’m coming on his ass,” he screamed.

“You know who I are? I are him.”

Paul posted images on social media during the week of the gear he will wear for the biggest fight of his career, paying tribute to Hogan.

The fight is scheduled for eight three-minute rounds.

Paul and Joshua are expected to walk to the ring at 2.30pm AEDT on Saturday.
