Young teen who died in drowning tragedy named locally

The young teenager who died in a drowning tragedy in the Twin Towns has been named locally as Conor Temple.

The 13 year old from Killygordon died after entering the River Finn at Drumboe Woods, shortly before 5:40pm yesterday evening.

He was brought from the water and transferred by ambulance to Letterkenny University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

His Funeral Mass takes place on Sunday in the Church of Mary Immaculate Stranorlar, at 11 o’clock.
