FAA issues ground stop for Denver International due to high wind speeds

DENVER, Colo. (KKTV) – The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a ground stop for Denver International Airport due to strong winds.
It was issued at 7:47 a.m. Friday and is expected to last until 10 a.m.
According to the FAA, arrivals and departures to and from the airport are delayed an average of at least 30 minutes.
The announcement comes as meteorologists forecast strong wind gusts throughout Colorado.
