Live updates: Donald Trump welcomes Anthony Albanese to the White House

Albanese has shared some more details about the deal, which he says is worth $8.5 billion, with Australia and the US chipping in $1 billion over the next six months.
He says there will be joint US-Australia projects, US-backed projects with processing in Australia, and others that are just Australian.
“A bit similar to putting America first, our plan is called a Future Made in Australia, which is about not just digging things up and exporting them, but how do we make sure that we have, across the supply chains with our friends, being able to benefit, seize those opportunities,” Albanese says.
“So we certainly see part of what this is about isn’t just digging things up.
“It’s also about processing, including those joint ventures between Australia and the United States.”
