Sheffield United 0 Watford 0: O’Hare earns Sheffield United a first home win to mar Javi Gracia’s return

Watford were poor and their lacklustre display was summed up by the fact they only mustered one effort on target.

Gracia got a great reception from the Watford fans and Luca Kjerrumgaard managed their only shot on target when his left-foot effort was saved by Blades goalkeeper Michael Cooper.

On-loan Aston Villa midfielder Louie Barry came in for the injured Gus Hamer and Mark McGuinness had a header from Barry’s corner saved by Egil Selvik in the Watford goal.

McGuinness then nodded wide before Selvik again denied the home side, saving from Japhet Tanganga’s header.

Watford had moments without capitalising on them and Nestory Irankunda had a couple of efforts, while Kjerrumgaard missed a chance.

Caleb Wiley squandered a great opportunity to give Watford the lead when he sliced his effort wide in a huge let-off for the Blades.

They took full advantage and O’Hare broke the deadlock on 59 minutes when he touched home Andre Brooks’ effort after Tyrese Campbell’s shot was saved.

Watford tried to rally and the closest they came was four minutes from time when Louza curled a shot against the bar from Kwadwo Baah’s pass.
