It took Draymond Green 6 minutes to get his first technical — and it was from the bench

Draymond Green didn’t take long.
The Golden State Warriors’ future Hall of Famer did what he does, almost right away in the season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Green got his first technical foul of the season in almost no time at all.
OK, it was actually about six minutes: 5 minutes and 53 seconds to be exact.
He wasn’t even in the game!
“Draymond picks up his first tech of the year — from the bench,” reporter Nick Friedell wrote on X. “He was mad the Warriors didn’t get a call and was one of several players yelling from the bench. Draymond seems extra amped for the opener tonight.”

Green ranked third in the NBA last season with 18 technical fouls.
A player receives a one-game suspension automatically if they get 16 technical fouls during a single regular season.
Green is on his way.
That’s always been the thing about Green, though. His fire is part of what makes him great. It’s how an undersized big guy who couldn’t shoot turned into a guy who will no doubt go to the Hall of Fame after being a part of one of the great dynasties in league history.
So yeah, this is what Draymond does. And that’s just fine.
