Sligo Rovers final home SSE Airtricity League Premier Division game of the season, against relegated Cork City, will be live on Ocean FM tonight (Saturday) from 7:45pm.
With two league games remaining, Rovers are currently in the relegation play-off spot following Friday night’s Premier Division results.
Fellow strugglers Galway United drew 1-1 with Drogheda – while Waterford also drew 1-all away to St Patrick’s Athletic.
Both teams have moved one point ahead of John Russell’s side, going into Saturday’s match at the Showgrounds.
Victory for Sligo Rovers would see them take a big step towards Premier Division survival.
Rovers final fixture of the season is away to champions elect Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium on Saturday, Nov 1st (4:30pm kick-off).
Galway and Waterford will play each other on the final Saturday of the season.
But this Saturday night’s game will be seen as the bit o’red’s best opportunity to collect three points from their remaining two fixtures.
