Deal or No Deal fans ‘won’t believe what’s coming’ says host Stephen Mulhern

Deal or No Deal is poised to make its grand comeback to ITV with Stephen Mulhern reprising his role as host.

The beloved daytime game show makes its triumphant return on Monday (October 27), and eager viewers have been given a tantalising glimpse of what lies ahead.

Originally launched back in 2005, the programme was resurrected by ITV in 2023, with In For A Penny presenter Stephen stepping into the shoes previously filled by Noel Edmonds.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, just hours before the debut episode, Stephen shared: “The tension’s back, the offers are real and The Banker is waiting!”.

“The BRAND NEW series of Deal or No Deal starts today at 4pm on ITV. Trust me, you won’t believe what’s coming – tune in every day so you don’t miss a thing!”, reports the Mirror.

His announcement sparked quite the reaction online, with one enthusiastic fan declaring: “Time not to do anything from 4pm. Looking forward to it! .”

Another chimed in: “Will definitely be watching #DealOrNoDeal.”

A third viewer concurred: “Can’t wait to finish work and catch up watching Deal or No Deal tonight this is going to help me get through today.”

This development arrives amid a substantial shift for Stephen, who is preparing to wrap up his £1million partnership with Butlin’s this year.

The former Dancing on Ice favourite has been the face of the holiday chain for three years but has opted against extending his contract.

He launched his career as a much-loved Redcoat entertainer at Butlin’s, subsequently performing at venues in Minehead, Bognor Regis, and Skegness, captivating audiences throughout his profitable contractual engagements.

However, transformations are afoot, as a spokesperson recently revealed to The Mirror: “Stephen has absolutely loved being part of the Butlin’s family – performing his stage shows in front of thousands of holiday makers across the country and the relationship with Butlin’s remains hugely positive.

“This change allows Stephen to explore new opportunities in the family holiday space – something he’s incredibly passionate about.

“Stephen has been an incredible part of the Butlin’s experience and continues to be a valued member of the family.

“Stephen’s much-loved live show won’t return in 2026 after three fantastic years, but we’re thrilled to be working together on ongoing projects this autumn.”
