West Indies tour of Bangladesh | Twitter in awe as Romario Shepherd takes flight to pouch blinder

Having lost the ODI series against Bangladesh, the West Indies tried to start the T20I leg afresh as they opted to bat first in the first game in Chattogram on Monday. Captain Shai Hope and Rovman Powell put together an unbeaten 83-run partnership to take the visitors to a formidable 165/3 in their allotted 20 overs.
In return, the Tigers started aggressively as opener Tanzid Hasan smashed a six and four off left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein in the first over. But his aggression was short-lived as he had to walk back to the dressing room courtesy of a stunning effort from Romario Shepherd.
After starting the second over from Jayden Seales with another boundary, the southpaw bit the dust as he found the big man at mid on. Seales pulled his length back in the next, banging a short ball into the surface around off stump.
The batter tried to get another boundary with a pull shot but didn’t time it perfectly as the ball ballooned over mid on. Just as Tanzid thought that he would survive, Shepherd had already started his chase for the ball with other plans in mind.
He ran backwards before going fully airbound to pouch a blinder, much to Tanzid’s disappointment, and landed safely on the turf. The all-rounder threw the ball in the air in ecstasy as Jason Holder came up and lifted him to applaud his effort.
Twitter was in awe as Shepherd turned Superman to pull off a special catch.
Brilliant catch!
