A sentencing hearing due to take place today for disgraced former hurler DJ Carey, who conned people into sending him money by pretending he had cancer, has been postponed.

Carey did not appear in court and prosecution barrister, Dominic McGinn SC, told Judge Martin Nolan that he has received a medical cert stating Carey is in a hospital in the west of Ireland currently.
