Yesavage had a 2-0 lead before he even stepped on the mound in the bottom of the first inning.
To start, he faced Ohtani, the Dodgers two-way superstar, who hit a ball to Yesavage, who tossed it to Guerrero to get Toronto its first out of the inning.
Smith, the Dodgers’ catcher, then hit a high fly ball to left field, caught by Schneider for Toronto’s second out.
