NBA draft bust Kwame Brown rips Bronny James as ‘Charmin tissue soft’

Kwame Brown has officially joined the list of people taking aim at Bronny James. And in true Kwame fashion, he didn’t hold back.

The former well-traveled big man went on a video rant this week after watching film from the Los Angeles Lakers’ recent win over the Portland Trail Blazers, a game where Bronny saw extended minutes thanks to injuries in the rotation.

Brown focused on one defensive sequence where he thought Bronny missed a golden opportunity to take a charge.

“Bronny, you’re in a great position to take a charge,” Brown said. “Where the heck is you going? This is what happens when a kid is a gold ticket. Imma dub Bronny ‘The Golden Ticket.’ This boy don’t want to be touched. Charmin tissue soft.”

Brown didn’t stop there.

“It’s his second year in the league,” he continued. “Should be as strong as an ox. Should be the most viable and vibrant young man. What the hell are you doing sliding out of the way of contact for? Don’t you know this is basketball? Oh my goodness, this is The King’s son?”

Bronny, 21, logged 20 minutes in the game but went scoreless on 0-for-2 shooting with three rebounds and three assists. With his offensive game still developing, defense is supposed to be his strength. But clearly, Brown wasn’t impressed.

Then again, it’s worth remembering the source. Brown, once the No. 1 overall pick, has become more known for his viral rants than his playing days.

He’s not wrong that Bronny’s got work to do, but given Brown’s track record … well, maybe he shouldn’t be the one ripping young NBA players.
