Last weekend on Strictly Come Dancing, the BBC professionals left viewers absolutely mesmerised with a spectacular routine paying tribute to Britney Spears during Icons Week.
The stunning performance took place in the results show, which witnessed the fourth celebrity’s departure from the competition.
Throughout the dance, the female professionals channelled various periods of the pop icon’s career, with Jowita recreating a look reminiscent of Britney’s iconic 2001 VMA appearance, reports Wales Online.
Yet it appeared the Britney tribute held deep personal significance for the Strictly professional, as she shared a nostalgic photograph of herself alongside rehearsal footage on Instagram.
She wrote: “Full circle moment. My very first performance was to Britney Spears’ ‘Oops! … I Did It Again.’ 26 years later, I’m dancing to Britney again, this time on the Strictly floor.”

“If only she knew then…that every struggle, every doubt, every tear would lead her here.
“That one day, she’d be living the moment she once only imagined. Never stop dreaming. Never stop believing.
“Thank you @jakeleigh__ for this amazing choreography and for bringing back all my memories x I love you! And thank you, boys, for your amazing energy! X”
Comments quickly flooded in, with Janette Manrara exclaiming: “I mean there are no words!!” Fleur East chimed in with: “SO GOOD!”

Unfortunately, Jowita’s hopes of lifting the Glitterball trophy this year have been dashed as her celebrity partner Ross King was knocked out earlier in the competition.

At present, Emmerdale actor Lewis Cope is leading the pack with a total score of 34. At the opposite end, George Clarke finds himself at the bottom of the leaderboard with a score of 27.
However, the tables could turn this weekend as the celebrities prepare for a spooktacular Halloween special.
Strictly Come Dancing is available to watch on Saturday (November 1) on BBC One from 6:35pm.
