Amazon Austalia’s highly-anticipated Black Friday sale is officially underway, kicking off this morning (18 November).

And if you have been waiting for the right moment to pick up some reading essentials for summer — now is the time.

Amazon’s Kindles — from the 2024 Paperweight to the newly-launched Colorsoft — are currently on sale.

Meaning you could pick up a popular e-reader for as little as $169.

Perfect for on-the-go reading when travelling and commuting, the lightweight devices weigh considerably less than bulky books, and offer glare-free screens and long-lasting battery life.

Or for those wanting to get their hands on the latest and greatest Kindle Colorsoft, you’ll be pleased to hear it’s also marked down in the sale.

Usually $449, you can pick up the e-reader for just $359.

Free from notifications and a larger glare-free screen, shoppers say the new model is “better, brighter and faster,” in comparison to previous models.

Colorsoft offers an incredible display, allowing you to view images, book covers and even highlight text — all in colour.
