Wind advisory in place for 6 Massachusetts counties until early Saturday morning – gusts could peak at 50 mph

On Friday at 12:41 a.m. a wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 2 p.m. until Saturday 5 a.m. for Middlesex, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Bristol and Plymouth counties.
The weather service states, “West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and some power outages may result,” explains the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
