Jonathan Ross cancels famous Hallowe’en party

Gamble then joked that he would wish for an invitation if the parties were to ever to continue, but Ross, who played the role of a traitor alongside Cat Burns and Carr in the game, revealed that was the problem – too many people wanted to attend.

He said: “Not you, but part of the problem was that, because we became such a well-known event, every time I did something people would be like, ‘Are you doing a Hallowe’en party?’

“Of the adults I invited, I only genuinely knew 30 per cent of them. And the others, I liked them all, but I didn’t know them.”

Ross’s pasts events hosted guests such as Strictly’s Craig Revel Horwood who attended dressed as Cruella de Vil, TV presenter Holly Willoughby as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, comedian Michael McIntyre as the Joker and Mel C of the Spice Girls as Morticia Addams.

Carr and Paloma Faith, who was the first to be murdered in The Celebrity Traitors, once attended the Hallowe’en party dressed as the twins from The Shining alongside the actor David Ames.
