Shooting at Airbnb in Bath Township leaves 9 juveniles injured. BCI investigating

Police are investigating a shooting early Sunday at a Bath Township home rented through Airbnb where multiple juveniles were wounded during a party that had been promoted on social media.

Officers responded around midnight to reports of gunfire at a residence in the 900 block of Top O Hill Drive, the Bath Township Police Department said in a statement. A large group of juveniles had gathered for a party when one or more suspects fired several shots inside the home before fleeing.

Beacon Journal news partner News 5 Cleveland is reporting that nine were injured in the shooting.

Emergency responders from multiple police and fire departments across Summit County and neighboring communities provided life-saving care and took the victims to area hospitals.

Their conditions were not immediately available.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting Bath Township police in processing the scene and collecting evidence.

Police said the investigation remains active and urged anyone with information to contact the Bath Township Police Department Detective Bureau at 330-666-3736.
