Robin Hood cast includes Hollyoaks stars and Hollywood icons

The 10-episode series will see Rob and Marian fight for justice and freedom following the Norman invasion of England in the Middle Ages.

Robin Hood, the new series airing on MGM+, introduces a fresh face in the title role over its 10-episode run.
The weekly episodes follow Rob and Marian as they join forces to battle for justice and liberty in the wake of the Norman invasion of England during the Middle Ages.
Rob evolves into the notorious leader of a group of rebel outlaws, while Marian infiltrates the Norman courts.
United, they strive to counteract Royal corruption and restore tranquillity to England. The series was filmed across various locations in Serbia.

Robin Hood – Jack Patten
Jack Patten, an Australian actor who previously appeared in an episode of NCIS Sydney, portrays Rob.
He also featured in the film War Machine, but Robin Hood represents his first significant TV role.
Discussing the opportunity with executive producers John Glenn and Jonathan English, he said: “Jonathan and I talked extensively about the legend of Robin Hood and why what we are doing is different.
“I told him that I would watch all the other versions of Robin Hood, but we came to an agreement that it was probably best that I don’t watch them until we were done filming. What we are doing is different.
“And they enjoyed what I brought to the table in my auditions. That was what they were after. We talked about movies that we loved, directors we love, actors we love. I learned that way.”
Marian – Lauren McQueen
Lauren McQueen, a 29 year old actress from Liverpool, plays Marian.
She is best known for her role as Lily Drinkwell in Hollyoaks, a performance that garnered her two British Soap Awards.
She has also graced the screen in Belgravia: The Next Chapter and Outlander: Blood of My Blood.
Sheriff of Nottingham – Sean Bean
Sean Bean, a 66 year old actor from Sheffield, takes on the role of the Sheriff of Nottingham.
He first found fame in the title role of Richard Sharpe in the ITV series Sharpe, before securing major roles in The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones and Time.

Priscilla of Nottingham – Lydia Peckham
Priscilla of Nottingham is portrayed by Lydia Peckham, who recently played Soona in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.
She has also made guest appearances in Shortland Street, Mr Corman and Cowboy Bebop.
Earl of Huntingdon – Steven Waddington
Steven Waddington, a 56 year old film and TV actor from Leeds, plays the Earl of Huntingdon.
He is most recognised for his starring role as the title character in Derek Jarman’s Edward II.
On the small screen, he is known for his roles in Vital Signs, Waterloo Road and Jamestown.

Little John – Marcus Fraser
Marcus Fraser, known for his roles in Foundation, The Outlaws and The Capture, plays Little John.
In cinema, he played Gawain in Transformers: The Last Knight.
Friar Tuck – Angus Castle-Doughty
Friar Tuck is brought to life by Angus Castle-Doughty, a 30 year old actor from London.
He began his career on stage before joining the cast of the BBC series Showtrial.
The star went on to play Eric Foster in Hollyoaks, a role that earned him a Villain of the Year nomination.
He is currently dating his Hollyoaks co-star Niamh Blackshaw.
Will – Henry Rowley
Henry Rowley, an internet sensation known for his observational comedy skits and boasting nearly two million followers across Instagram and TikTok, plays the character of Will.
He gained fame as ‘the Soho House guy’ and ‘the music guy at afters’, and in 2023, he starred in My Neighbours are Kinda Weird and premiered his first solo Edinburgh show in 2024.
Eleanor of Aquitaine – Connie Nielsen
The role of Eleanor is portrayed by Connie Nielsen, a seasoned Danish actress who is recognised for her roles as Lucilla in the Gladiator films and Queen Hippolyta in the DC Extended Universe.
On the small screen, she has made her mark with roles in Boss and The Following.
