Chiefs Wire Podcast Interview Series: Buffalo Bills DB Jordan Poyer

On the ‘Chiefs Wire Podcast Interview Series’, we showcase new players, celebrities, and prominent NFL players with unique takes and stories about the Kansas City Chiefs.
Listen as Senior Writer Ed Easton Jr. sits down with Buffalo Bills defensive back Jordan Poyer. The veteran safety discussed his exploration of how psychedelic therapy is helping him heal from personal issues in his family.
“I was pretty open in my last couple of years about my idea of at least raising awareness around psychedelics because I can’t unsee what I’ve seen. I can’t unfeel what I felt, to the point where I couldn’t pretend like nothing’s going on in the world”, said Poyer, “This is a responsibility of mine, to have these conversations and to use the platform that I’ve been able to cultivate through football, through where I thought that was my identity, The the ego part about me, and use that platform to help now raise the collective awareness. The real game is out in the world. When you take what you’ve learned and integrate what you can know into every situation, breath, and step of your life.”
Poyer became an impact defensive player with the Bills after signing in 2017. He earned All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors. He was part of many battles against the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC crown. He returned to Buffalo during the offseason.
