Bills’ QB Josh Allen breaks rushing touchdown record, joins Hall of Fame running backs

Josh Allen set an NFL record for quarterbacks and joined three Hall of Fame running backs for another feat on the same play.
Allen was pushed in for a 1-yard touchdown run in the second quarter to give the Buffalo Bills a 21-10 lead over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
It’s Allen’s 78th career rushing touchdown, including playoffs, passing Cam Newton (77) for most by a quarterback in NFL history.
Allen also joined Hall of Fame running backs Jim Brown, Marshall Faulk and LaDainian Tomlinson as the only players in league history — and the first quarterback — to have at least six rushing touchdowns in his first eight seasons.
Allen has 71 career rushing touchdowns in the regular season, trailing only Newton’s 75 for most by a quarterback.
Last week against the Carolina Panthers, Allen passed Newton for the most games in NFL history with both a passing and rushing touchdown, doing it for the 46th time in his career. He had a passing touchdown and rushing touchdown against the Chiefs on Sunday, marking No. 47.
