Go Metro to Dodgers Parade to celebrate 2nd straight World Series championship!

Congratulations to the Dodgers for winning their second straight World Series in a truly bonkers Game 7! It’s the first time in team history the Dodgers have secured back-to-back titles.

FOR THE PARADE: The celebration will continue with this year’s parade taking place at 11 a.m. Monday in downtown Los Angeles. Ride Metro to one of seven stations near the parade route — see the maps above.

FOR THE TICKETED EVENT AT DODGER STADIUM: The Dodger Stadium Express will be running from both the South Bay and Union Station beginning at 8:30 a.m. Monday. The Dodger Stadium Express is free but riders must have an event ticket to ride Monday.

HOW TO GET TO THE PARADE TOMORROW ON METRO

•If taking the B/D Line subway, use Civic Center/Grand Park, Pershing Square or 7th/Metro Stations.

•If taking the A Line or E Lines, use the Little Tokyo/Arts District, Historic Broadway, Grand Ave Arts/Bunker Hill or 7th/Metro Stations.

•To plan your transit trip to the parade, use Google Maps, Apple Maps, the Transit app, the Moovit app or the trip planner on metro.net.

•PRO TIP: To avoid crowds and long lines after the parade, we recommend hanging out in downtown LA for a bit — grab lunch, visit a museum or go for a stroll.

PARKING AT METRO STATIONS

•Many Metro Rail and Busway stations have free or paid parking. See the map below and click here for a list of stations and more info.

METROLINK REGIONAL RAIL

•For those who live farther from downtown LA, Metrolink regional rail is a fast and convenient option. Additional service has been added tomorrow on the Antelope Valley, Orange County and San Bernardino lines. Ride to Union Station in downtown LA and transfer to the Metro A, B or D Lines to the parade or walk a half-mile to the start of the parade route.

•Please see Metrolink’s website for schedule, fare and station parking information; the Metrolink system map is below.

•With a valid Metrolink ticket, including the $15 unlimted SoCal Day Pass, you can ride Metro for free. Hang on to your Metrolink ticket to scan at our faregates.

METRO FARES

•Regular Metro fare is $1.75 or $3.50 round-trip.

•Two children, ages 6 and under, can ride free with each paying adult.

•To ride Metro, you can pay fare with a digital TAP card on your smartphone or a plastic TAP card to board trains and buses. For plastic cards, TAP vending machines are located at all Metro Rail and Busway stations.  NOTE: one TAP card can only be used once per person.

PRO TIP: to avoid lines at the TAP machines at Metro stations on the day of the parade, purchase fare on your phone ahead of time. Here’s how:

iPhone

  • Open the Apple Wallet app on your iPhone and tap the “+”
  • Select ‘Transit Card,’ then select TAP
  • Add fare with a double click of the side button
  • Tap at bus farebox or validator at rail stations & ride!
  • Fans can load multiple TAP cards in Apple Wallet — you just need to switch to the next card before tapping at the farebox on buses and validators at rail and busway stations.

Android phones

  • Download the TAP App from Google Play
  • Sign in or create a TAP account
  • Follow prompts to “Add a TAP Card on Your Phone” and add fare; a round-trip on Metro buses and trains costs $3.50
  • Tap at bus farebox or validator at rail stations & ride!

Buying plastic TAP cards

  • Plastic TAP cards cost $2 apiece plus the cost of fare. PRO TIP: PURCHASE ROUND-TRIP FARE FOR $3.50!!!
  • At TAP vending machines, fans can buy up to five TAP cards at a time each loaded with $5 of Stored Value. That’s enough to ride all day.

BUS DETOURS

•Many of our downtown L.A. bus lines will be detoured on Monday from 3 a.m. until 4 a.m., including Lines 4, 10/48, 14/37, 16, 18, 20, 28, 30, 40, 45, 53, 55, 60, 62, 66, 70, 76, 78, 81, 90, 92, 94, 460, 487 & the J Line.

•See our service alerts page for more info on the detours that we’ll post on Sunday. Click on the ‘upcoming’ tab to see the detours prior to 3 a.m. Monday.

PRO TIP: Please use Metro Rail instead of bus if trying to reach DTLA tomorrow morning, and avoid driving into the area.

SAFETY & SECURITY

•If you need help finding your way on Metro, please look for our friendly Metro Ambassadors, who wear gray jackets and very bright green shirts.

•If you need to contact our public safety team to report an issue, call 888.950.7233 or send a text via our Transit Watch app.

•In an emergency, please call 911.

Have a great time celebrating your world champion Los Angeles Dodgers! Opening Day is less than four months away and we’re looking forward to seeing you onboard and next season 🙂
