Remembrance Day ceremonies across the region

Local communities are preparing to remember the sacrifices of our veterans. Remembrance Day ceremonies will be held at many locations across the region around and on Remembrance Day on Tuesday, November 11.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 472 in Hawkesbury is organizing four different Remembrance Day ceremonies. The first is at 2 pm on Saturday, November 8 at the cenotaph in the centre of Alfred.
On Sunday, November 9, a ceremony will be held in L’Orignal at the cenotaph beside the entrance to L’Orignal Park. The ceremony begins at 11 am.
The Vankleek Hill Remembrance Day ceremony is also on Sunday, November 9. It begins at 2 pm at the cenotaph beside the post office on Main Street in Vankleek Hill.
On Remembrance Day, Tuesday, November 11, a ceremony will be held at the Hawkesbury Cenotaph. It is located beside Cartier Boulevard and the entrance to the Robert Hartley Sports Complex.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 423 in Alexandria organizes Remembrance Day ceremonies for St-Isidore, Maxville, Apple Hill, and Alexandria. The ceremony at the Alexandria Cenotaph is on Remembrance Day, Tuesday November 11, at 11 am. The cenotaph is located on Main Street North beside Glengarry District High School.
The Claude Nunney V.C. Memorial Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion is hosting a Remembrance Day ceremony in Lancaster on Sunday, November 9. It begins at 2 pm at the cenotaph on Duncan Street.
A Remembrance Day ceremony will also take place in Williamstown on November 9 at 11 am. It begins at 19680 William Street.
In Brownsburg, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 71 is organizing the Remembrance Day ceremony. It begins at 10:30 am on Tuesday, November 11 at Parc des vétérans in the centre of Brownsburg.
