The Vancouver Canucks have announced some positive news on Friday afternoon regarding forward Brock Boeser, who left Thursday’s game in St. Louis with an injury.
It’s been a difficult start to the season for Adam Foote’s group thus far, not necessarily due to their performances, although they could be better, but from an injury standpoint, as the club has eight players from their NHL roster on the sidelines.
After the game, Adam Foote told reporters that they don’t expect Brock Boeser to miss any time and will likely play on Saturday night in his home state against the Minnesota Wild, and on Friday, the Canucks have a positive update on his status.
“i can’t even tell ya what happened to him, but i think he should be back next game.” Foote said according to Mike Halford of Halford & Brough.

Boeser was able to travel with his team to Minnesota following Thursday’s shootout win in St. Louis, which was great news as his injury looked quite painful and before Adam Foote’s update, many were worried that the 28-year-old would be out of the lineup for a while.
As the Canucks took to the ice for practice on Friday at Grand Casino Arena, the team shared pictures on social media confirming that Brock Boeser was in attendance.
“Back on the ice for the final day of Brocktober. 🗓️
Boeser was a full participant in today’s practice.” the Canucks said.
By being a full participant at practice on Friday, it’s safe to say that Brock Boeser will be able to suit up tonight against the Minnesota Wild, which will bring a big smile to Adam Foote’s face as he can’t afford to lose yet another goal scoring threat in his lineup, with guys like Filip Chytil and Conor Garland unable to play due to an upper-body and lower-body injury, respectively.
Puck drop for tonight’s game against the Wild is set for 4 p.m. PT and can be viewed on Sportsnet Pacific and Sportsnet 360 as part of Hockey Night in Canada.
