Canucks put Kravtsov on waivers for purpose of contract termination

The team announced Tuesday that the forward has been placed on unconditional waivers for the purpose of contract termination.

Kravtsov, 25, was signed by the Canucks in August to a one-year, two-way contract, making his return to North America after spending the previous two seasons in the KHL with Traktor Chelyabinsk.

This marked his second stint in the organization after he was acquired by the Canucks in a trade in February 2023.

In 10 games with the Abbotsford Canucks this season, Vancouver’s AHL affiliate, the Russian recorded one goal and three assists.

Kravtsov has appeared in 64 career NHL games with the New York Rangers and Canucks over the 2020-21 and 2022-23 seasons, posting six goals and six assists.

He was originally selected by the Rangers in the first round, ninth overall, in the 2018 NHL Draft.
