Vancouver Canucks place Vitali Kravtsov on unconditional waivers for purposes of buyout

Vancouver Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin announced Tuesday that forward Vitali Kravtsov has been placed on unconditional waivers for the purposes of a buyout.

Kravtsov, 25, has not played with the Canucks over the past two seasons after being acquired from the New York Rangers via trade in 2023.

He scored one goal and added one assist in 16 games with Vancouver in 2022-23.

The Russian has played 10 games with the AHL’s Abbotsford Canucks this season, recording one goal and four points.

Last season, Kravtsov played 66 games in the KHL with Traktor Chelyabinsk, tallying 27 goals and 58 points.

The winger was originally selected ninth overall by the Rangers in the 2018 NHL Draft. He has played 64 NHL games over three seasons in his career, posting six goals and six assists.
