In a recent TikTok, she explained that she’s made the decision to try and toilet train her kids, and asked for advice on doing so.

“Does anyone have any advice on potty training?” she asked.

“Obviously, I know the general gist of what to do, but if anyone has any like good tips for twins, the potty training is about to commence!”

However, many people in the comments section took aim at Brittany – insisting that her boys are far too young to begin their toileting journey.

“Them babies are far tooo young to be potty trained,” one raged.

“Too early for potty training,” another said.

“Potty training too early can be traumatic for everyone,” a third warned.

“Just know if you start trying and they don’t take to it, start again later.”

“Tip is to wait until they’ve turned 2,” someone else said.

“You or them don’t need all that hassle yet, don’t prolong the pain.”

“Biggest advice for potty training at that age is don’t force it,” another agreed.

“They will regress. With my first I made so many potty training ‘mistakes’. Second I let her do what she wanted and I put her in real underwear.

“No pull-ups. She was potty training in a day. She was also over the age of 2.

“At 1 you’ll have to have a lot of patience and their bladder isn’t developed enough to hold it all night.”

But others said that Brittany was completely right to potty train the boys.

“Don’t listen to anyone who says the twins are too young to potty train,” one said.

NHS potty training timeline

THE NHS says most children are potty trained between two and two-and-a-half, saying: “Remember, you cannot force your child to use a potty.

“If they’re not ready, you will not be able to make them use it.

“Most parents start thinking about potty training when their child is between 2 and 2 and a half, but there’s no perfect time.”

By age 1, most babies have stopped doing poos at night

By age 2, some children will be dry during the day, but this is still quite early

By age 3, 9 out of 10 children are dry most days – even then, all children have the odd accident, especially when they’re excited, upset or absorbed in something else

By age 4, most children are reliably dry during the day

” I got my boy a potty from 15 months old and he was toilet trained by 18 months and dry on a night most nights by 2.

“I will say in the 3 months it took to crack it was just perseverance and keep trying with patience but once he got it he got it.

“I think the earlier the better! Good luck!!”
