Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey is seeking a third term, but because the city uses ranked choice voting — allowing voters to rank up to three candidates on their ballots — the list of challengers is lengthy. Three candidates, however, have drawn attention: State Sen. Omar Fateh, businessman Jazz Hampton, and chaplain DeWayne Davis. Like Frey, all three are members of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party — a Minnesota party affiliated with the Democratic Party.
