Voters cast ballots in key races across Nassau County

It’s Election Day, and voters across Long Island are heading to the polls to cast their ballots in key local races that will directly impact issues such as taxes, infrastructure and quality of life.
Republican Bruce Blakeman is seeking his second four-year term against Democratic Nassau County legislator Seth Koslow.
According to the state board of elections, Democrats outnumber Republicans by about 70,000 active voters in Nassau County. However, data from the Nassau County Board of Elections shows just under 5,000 more Republicans turned out during early voting this year. It’s a trend we didn’t see in the county in 2021 and 2023.
Another key race is Anne Donnelly’s bid for reelection as Nassau district attorney. She is up against career prosecutor Nicole Aloise.
News 12’s Cecilia Dowd and Kevin Vesey will have updates throughout the night.
