Recently I shared a deal about my favorite battery for long rides but that was only half the story. The other half is the phone I choose. I’ve written multiple times about big rides and staying connected to my Garmin, my music, and my camera through my phone. Now there’s a deal to be had.
Of course, this is a bit of a stretch for a cycling magazine. It’s something not everyone thinks about in terms of riding a bike but it matters. As rides stretch longer but over the years I’ve moved from budget phones with short battery life to phones that cost more but last for more years and have better batteries.
To that end, there are a few of those options out there. If you are an IPhone person then obviously you’ll stick with Apple but on the Android side of the fence you’ve got choices from Samsung, Motorolla, and Google among. Personally, my favorite phone for long rides is the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL.
I like the long commitment to fast Android updates, the look and feel of the Android version Google uses, the excellent camera, and the battery features are why I’m discussing it here.
