FORMER Formula One driver Andrea de Adamich has died aged 84.
The Italian represented Ferrari and McLaren in his career.

He appeared in 30 races between 1968 and 1973 – including 12 times in the 1972 season.
De Adamich picked up six points in total – three apiece in 1972 and 1973.
Born in Trieste in north-eastern Italy, De Adamich also raced for March, Surtees and Brabham.
And his solo appearance for Ferrari, his very first F1 race in South Africa in January 1969, ended in retirement after an accident on the 13th lap as Brit Jim Clark pipped his compatriot and team-mate Graham Hill.

De Adamich also raced in the European Formula Two and the European F5000.
He twice entered the Le Mans 24 Hours, with a DNF in 1970 and a fourth-placed finish in 1972.
